Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
|
For individuals who would like to demonstrate their expertise with a particular
Microsoft product, Microsoft offers the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
credential. Microsoft Certified Professionals have demonstrated in-depth
knowledge of at least one Microsoft product.
The MCP credential provides a helpful "steppingstone" on the way to Microsoft's
other certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer + Internet,
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator,
Microsoft Certified Solution Developer, Microsoft Certified Professional + Site Building
and Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet.

Microsoft Certified Professional + Internet (MCP+I)
|
With this credential, Microsoft Certified Professionals with a specialty in the
Internet will be qualified to plan security, install and configure server
products, manage server resources, extend servers to run CGI scripts or ISAPI
scripts, monitor and analyze performance, and troubleshoot problems.

Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)
|
The Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) credential is the premium
certification for professionals who design and develop custom business solutions
with Microsoft development tools, technologies, and platforms.

Microsoft Certified Professional + Site Building (MCP+SB)
|
For Web site developers, Microsoft offers the Microsoft Certified Professional + Site Building (MCP+SB) credential.
Microsoft Certified Professionals with a specialty in site building are
qualified to plan, build, maintain, and manage Web sites using Microsoft
technologies and products. The credential is appropriate for people who manage
sophisticated, interactive Web sites that include database connectivity,
multimedia, and searchable content.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
|
The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) credential is the premier
certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements for a
system architecture, design solutions, deploy, install, and configure
architecture components, and troubleshoot system problems.
The new Microsoft Windows 2000 track is designed for information technology
professionals working in a typically complex computing environment of medium to
large organizations. A Windows 2000 MCSE candidate should have at least one year
of experience implementing and administering a network operating system.

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer + Internet (MCSE+I)
|
The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer + Internet (MCSE+I) certification qualifies IT
professionals to enhance, deploy and manage sophisticated intranet and Internet
solutions that include a browser, proxy server, host servers, database, and
messaging and commerce components. In addition, an MCSE + Internet certified
professional will be able to manage and analyze Web sites.

Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
|
The Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) credential is the premier
certification for professionals who both implement and administer Microsoft SQL
Server databases. The certification is appropriate for individuals who are
responsible for the logical and physical design, implementation, maintenance and
administration of databases.

Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT)
|
Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT) play an important
role in Microsoft's education and certification process. MCTs are qualified
instructionally and certified technically by Microsoft to deliver Microsoft
Official Curriculum (MOC) instructor-led courses to computer professionals. Only
trainers who intend to deliver MOC instructor-led courses at Microsoft Certified
Technical Education Centers (Microsoft CTECs) are eligible to become MCTs. Once
you have been approved as an MCT, your MCT credential will be accepted in all
Microsoft education channels.
